“This post is weird” these women are sacrificing years of work experience and earning potential for a man who hasn’t married them and will thus not have to pay for alimony after a breakup. If their boyfriends ditch them, they’re financially destroyed.
And because they are financially dependent on their boyfriends and don’t have a job, they are also at higher risk of financial, emotional, and physical abuse because they cannot easily leave as they have no money.
We used to teach our teenage girls to never make college decisions to follow a boyfriend. What changed?
